MUSICAL THEATRE

“Particularly noteworthy is Erika Heynatz as the arrogant, dim-witted silent movie megastar, Lina Lamont. She is a downright side-splitting villain, setting a new standard for annoying, screechy Brooklyn accents.” – Limelight Magazine
"Erika Heynatz as Lina Lamont makes the infamous role her own – bringing her own flair and nuanced delivery of Lamont’s unique voice to the show; she’s the funniest thing about it.”

Eight shows a week. No second takes. A live audience hanging on every note.

For Erika, musical theatre represents the ultimate entertainment gauntlet—testing her vocal prowess, dramatic range, physical stamina, and ability to deliver peak performances night after night with unwavering excellence. This crucible of artistic discipline has become her most rewarding professional playground.

SINGIN IN THE RAIN

In this spectacular reimagining of MGM's iconic musical, Erika shared the stage with international star Adam Garcia, reinventing the vapid, narcissistic, fame-hungry Lina Lamont with such distinctive flair that critics consistently cited her performance as the production's highlight.

The lavish production recreated the film's beloved choreography—complete with 12,000 liters of water for the unforgettable dance routine made famous by Gene Kelly—while Erika's scene-stealing performance silenced any lingering doubts about her theatrical credentials and earned her a prestigious Helpmann nomination.

ROCKY HORROR

This Australian touring production of the cult musical featured Erika alongside the production's legendary creator, Richard O'Brien himself. As both castle maid Magenta and The Usherette, Erika opened and closed the show with "Science Fiction/Double Feature," putting her own wickedly original spin on each nostalgic role.

The production played to houses packed with zealous, costumed fans and received a Helpmann Award nomination for Best Musical.

“Erika Heynatz has an original take on the Usherette, making her a breathless, wide-eyed movie fan rather than a seedy, all-knowing vamp. Contributing a gleeful energy to the stage, Heynatz gives a glimpse of her comic chops when Magenta finally has some dialogue in the final sequence”.

LEGALLY BLONDE

Erika's portrayal of exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in the Australian production of Legally Blonde became the show's unexpected highlight, featuring a spectacular, acrobatic rope-skipping number alongside her fellow Boston Correctional Facility inmates. Her performance won her the BWW Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical at the Helpmann Awards.
