1.6 million dollars raised for the ASRC TELETHON

On World Refugee Day, Sunday June 20, Erika joined a collection of entertainers, artists, musicians, advocates and sportspeople who also gave up their time and used their platforms and profile to amplify the voices of refugees and spread our message of hope, justice and compassion.

More than 15,207 generous donors stood in solidarity with refugees and made a donation on the day and our content also had millions of impressions and engagements. As an ambassador for the ASRC, Erika manned the phones to accept and thank donors. As always, it was truly a celebration of the incredible people who have sought safety here and that we are lucky enough to call our newest Australians.

"As you've probably already seen, together with our community of compassion we raised more than $1.67 million to help support and empower people seeking asylum ($1,676,980 to be exact which is almost $400k more than last year). We were SO BLOWN AWAY by this result which was beyond our wildest dreams. It just goes to prove that people want to be a part of the solution and that love, compassion and humanity always win!"
